Launch and Creative
At the end of 2018, I came across a UN report and a Chatham House paper that discussed the issue growing around the procurement of women-owned businesses globally and looked at their growth and stagnancy. In discussing this further with my boss and agency head Bec Brideson, Bec became inspired to launch our own not-for-profit collective in Australia that would help women-owned businesses grow through greater formalised opportunities in corporate and government contracts. Similar initiatives have already been launched in other countries like India, the USA and Chile and have seen great success.
Women With Agency was launched in January 2019, and a big part of my job became ensuring and strategising it successful launch. This was executed by getting Bec into the Cannes Lions 2019 to announce its global launch, to writing and eventually curating the creative that would launch it officially in Australia at the B&T Awards and using my networks and learnings from building up the consultancy to get the right corporate partners and federal government support. I was also tasked with pushing out its social, collecting information on the many Australian female-owned businesses who signed up and writing all collateral and comms as you can see below.
While Women With agency will continue on without me, I am grateful for being a big part of its origins, and for helping set it up for continued success.
